What Do You Want Of Me?
by Tom Robarge
Oh Lord I come to you as a mere man but more then a man because I know that I
am also a spirit. What will you have of me? What can I do to reach the dreams
that you have planned for me before the beginning of time or space. What can I
do to reach the path you have set before me. I live in a world of fear and
confusing, not knowing where to turn or who to seek. I am lost in the never
ending land of the living, not knowing how to reach the true life you have
prepared for me. I want to become great but know that I must remain small so the
your greatness may show though me. I seek to help others when I am the one who
needs help. Teach me thy ways and show me thy truths so that I may in return
show others. Atlas make me your vessel to be shaped and formed by your hand to
be the person you want me to be.
My child you already are who I want you to be. The path you have chosen is
the path I want you to follow. As for your dreams and desires. Do you for one
moment doubt that I would give them to you without a way for you to fulfill
them. Am not I with you always. Every step of the way. Do I not open the doors
that need to be opened when the time is right for you to walk though them. I
know who and what you are even better then you know yourself. Have not I created
you and placed you here at this time to fulfill your purpose. Do you think for
one second I do not know what I am doing though you. Do you believe that I would
ever leave you. Have not I taught you the lessons you needed to learn to be able
to do the task I have set before you. Have not I provided you with the skills
you need to carry out my plans for you. Have not I provided for you all the
things you need to live a full and happy life. Why do you bother me with these
questions. When you already know the answers. Go within yourself and you will
find everything you need to know. For all true answers come from within.
Let me speak plainly so that all who read this will understand. Each person
comes to this life at this time with a purpose to fulfill. Many do not have a
clue what that purpose is or how to go about finding their place in the here and
now. Many are still seeking their purpose not knowing that the reason for their
being here is already been fulfilled. Think of the world as a great building
made of all different stones. All different shapes and sizes but fitting
together perfectly. Each supporting each other is perfect unity. The greatest
stones being supported by many smaller stones. Each with a purpose, each with a
role to fulfill. The truth is that you all have many purposes to fulfill. A
gentle hug for one in need of a hug. A kind word spoken at the right time to
someone who needs encouragement. A smile to brighten up someone's day. A
listening ear for someone who needs to express their hurt. A shoulder to cry on
for someone who needs to cry. Yes there are some with great needs to fulfill but
theirs are no more important then these (which some would refer to as) lesser
needs. You do not need to trouble yourself with your purpose of life if you
would only take the time to go within yourself and find the real you. To know
yourself, to love yourself for who you are here and now. When the time is right
the purpose for you being here will come to you. Or you will realize that you
have already fulfilled your reason for being. In either case you will find peace
in knowing that you are who you are suppose to be living in a time you are
suppose to live in doing what you where met to do here and now.
Behind every (what you would call) great man is a large group of people
supporting him. He or she is only great in your eyes because you make him or her
great. For you are all the same in my eyes. You are all my children and I love
you all the same. No one is better then any one else, but you already knew that
did it you. For my love for you passes all understanding. The peace and joy I
have to offer is for all to partake in. If only you would seek it within
yourself. For that is the only place you will find it. So I will leave you with
this last truth. Every good and perfect thing is from me, all else is from the
hearts and minds of man.
