The Beginning

by Tom Robarge

The Lord came to me and asked me to tell you how it all began. No man really knows the beginning and no man really can know the end. It is the Lord that knows all, that is all and who can tell all. Our time is not His time and our way is not His way.

In the beginning God and man was one. They walked together and talked together. Together they named all the animals, those on land and those in the deep blue sea. Together they named the stars and the planets. They named the trees, the flowers and all the other living things here on earth. Together they were one, male and female and God were one. There was no separation, there was no void, no space between them. But over the course of time man forgot God. As man learned he could walk his own way he felt he no longer needed or wanted God for he felt he was a god onto himself.

No one knows how much time passed from the beginning till the self proclaimed separation took place but it was man who turned his back on God. God was and still is here. Has always been here and will always be here, no matter what man may think or say. God is still here today and He is willing to walk and talk with man again as it was in the beginning. But man has forgotten how to walk and talk with God. Man has lost the ability to be one with God.

Many are trying to reach God, with some success, but none, no not even one, has learned or remembered how to walk with God. No matter how hard we try we can not remember how to walk with God. Enoch walked with God and was not because God took him. Enoch was the last man in recorded history that walked with God. Yes it is true that there have been many spiritual men though out history but none have really walked with God. Some have came close but none since Enoch have walked with God.

So what does it mean to walk with God. It means to forsake all and to love all at the same time. To be separated from all, yet together with all at the same time. How is this possible, can anyone do this, can you or I do this. The answer is yes we can. It is all a matter of a state of being. It is when you reach the point of stop trying and just being and it is a beautiful state to be in. When the spirit is flowing though you and you feel his presents and his love and nothing else matters. It brings tears to your eyes because you are so full with joy and peace and love.

The problem is we really do not want to let go. There are things of this world that keep us here and stop us from truly walking with God but thats all right. There is nothing wrong with it at all. God knows and understands that we have grown attached to this world. That there are things we are not willing to give up, that there are people we care for and are not sure what will happen to them if one day we where not because God took us. there are needs to be meet, bills to be paid, a job to go to, work to be done and on and on and on.

God knows man has forgotten and yet He has not and He still loves us. Yes he still loves you and me.

So we try to find time between all our other responsibilities to make time for God, to feel his presents and have the joy and peace and love flow though us. He is still there whenever we are ready to reach out to him even if it only for a short time during our busy day. He is there and he loves us and wants us to feel His peace and joy and love.
