My God
by Tom Robarge
You are my God in whom I am well pleased. You give me my daily bread and
support my every dream, wish or desire. You present me with desires. That these
desires may be filled and my joy be complete. You provide me with the tools I
need to fulfill my dreams and you make my dreams a reality. You are the one who
has placed me on this earth to live life and to live it more abundantly. You
have showed me that in you is life and that there is no place for death in your
reality. You showed me that you are love and there is no place for evil or fear
in your reality. Then you showed me that your reality and mine are one and the
same. That we are one in the same. Without you I can do nothing that every
breath I take is a gift from you. That every step I take is pre-ordained by you.
Yet I have free will to decide to take that step or to turn from it.
To dare to dream that I now have eternal life that I do not ever have to face
death. That I like you are immoral. That I and you are one, that my mind, body
and spirit are one. That there is no separation between them. That the earth was
created for man and that man was created in your image. That all the wonders of
the world are nothing compared to the gift you wish to bestow on me and my
fellow man. Is mind blowing to say the lest. That the flood gates have already
been opened and all these blessings are already pouring out. That all I or
anyone else has to do is accept them. That true freedom is now available to all
who wish to partake of it. Freedom from worry, freedom from pain and suffering.
That every thing is already provided for man to live a life of complete joy and
happiness is here now for the taking. If we would only believe. That work does
not have to be a burden but that it can be a joy. It is you I trust to make
these things a reality in my life. You are my God and it is in your love I wish
to abide forever. Give me this day the power to fulfill the task you set before
me to reach a higher level of love, joy, peace and happiness. I place all my
burdens in your hand. Let my job be a blessing and my work load no more
burdensome then I can handle.
I know the will of man and the will of God are not the same. For man has
fallen short of all he can be though you. But for me and my house I will serve
the Lord and in him trust to meet my every need and desire. He will lead me in
the path of righteousness for his name sake. He will show though me the better
way of life and make me an example how life can really be a blessing. I thank
you God for opening my eyes and showing me the course I must follow. Let me be a
blessing to you and my fellow man. Let me a light in the darkness.
The Lord is my Shepard I shall not want, in fact I have no wants. Wants puts
everything in the future tense where God nor man can not reach it. There is a
saying "that tomorrow never comes" and indeed it never does. So do not place
your dreams or desires in the tomorrow but bring them here today for today is
all you have. There is no tomorrow or yesterday but only today, only now. I can
truthfully say I have no wants I lack nothing. That all my needs are fulfilled.
I am truly blessed. Desires is a different matter. Desires is a gift from God to
be fulfilled by Him so that your joy may be filled, pressed down, shaken
together and over flowing. The Lord places desires in your heart to be
fulfilled. To seek is to find. to knock is to have the door opened to you.
To grow in the Lord, what a blessing. To receive His truths in your heart and
have no doubts that these are the truths of which I seek and was able to find.
Not in the words of man but in the silence of the Lord. To abide in His spirit,
to know that He is within me, to walk in His truths, these are the blessings
available to everyone who will just seek His face. To live without fear or
doubt, to know no harm can befall you while you remain in his presence and that
you can always be in his presence
